    Middle School (11-14 years)

    Heroes

    Through reading about a variety of heroes, students learnt the common character traits and actions across heroes. Students also identified their own hero, why this hero inspired them, and a character trait of this hero they aspired to.

    Government

    Students used a school space, where diverse students come together, to conduct mock elections for class representatives. They presented their speech to the other students after which the eventual outcome was the formation of the student council.

    Human Settlements and Impact

    The students compared rural and urban settlements and observed how settlements have evolved since the Indus Valley Civilization. Using Mumbai as a reference location, students learned about the factors that influence how settlements are formed, the features, patterns, and types of human settlements.

    Matter

    The students developed the skills to make predictions, perform experiments, identify the type of change (physical change or chemical change) and draw conclusions based on their observations. The students learned the science behind the way matter behaves under different circumstances.

    Community

    The students identified various communities they belong to, reflected on the purpose of the community in their lives and their role in those communities. The students then engaged in various activities within their community of choice.

    Adolescence

    Teenagers reflected on emotional and physical changes they had been through during puberty, and how they dealt with these changes.
