Autism Specialist

Reports to, and receives assistance, fromCo-Principal

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver targeted interventions to support education programming, communication, emotional regulation, social interaction among other key areas.

Provide in-class on the ground support for students and track and monitor progress Implement and review individualised support plans.

Advise teachers and support staff on adapting teaching strategies and classroom environments.

Lead or support CPD (Continuing Professional Development) on autism awareness and classroom strategies.

Work collaboratively with all the relevant stakeholders as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Keep up to date with current research and good practice in autism education, sharing learning with the wider school team.

Essential:

Relevant qualifications (e.g., MA in psychology, BCBA, ASD specific training).

Experience supporting students with autism in a school environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Contract Terms:

Period: 3 years, full time position only (8am– 4pm, 5 days per week)

Salary: Negotiable based on background and experience
