Welcome to the Outreach section of the Gateway School of Mumbai! Come engage with us and together we can help all students reach their potential.
Our vision and mission is to develop and share best practices in our field, practices that are relevant to our context. There is so much information out there, but how does one decide what works best for you? If you’re a parent, teacher, therapist, school leader or just interested in understanding how better to serve students with special needs, we have different types of engagements. ORIENTATION AND VISIT
Come visit the Gateway School of Mumbai! We’ll take you through our teaching and learning philosophy as well as a short tour of our learning spaces. You are welcome to stay back to observe more classes, and interact with our teachers and students.

SCHEDULE A WORKSHOP at your organisation
We conduct workshops at organisations or schools to support working with students with special needs. See here for a list of our workshops. The workshop content and duration can be tailored as per the need of the organisation.
Duration: 3-6 hour per workshop.
Cost: Varies depending on type of engagement (e.g. individual workshop/ package/ tailor made).

Gateway has partnered with a family in Indore to start Shridha, a school for children with disabilities, in Indore. Gateway supports Shridha with teacher development, student programmes, and curriculum development.

The last eight sessions have been really informative and engaging and I've been trying to implement many different strategies from those learnings - like online tools that I'm using are- Quizzes, Kahoot, Socrative. I'm also taking my classes giving assignments on Google classroom as well. I'm also using mentimeter to make thinking visible and to help children express themselves what they feel. What they've learned etc. And. I am also using different energizers like eye breaks and movement breaks. I've been making presentation slides in which I'm making sure that I use larger fonts. I highlight the text which I want them to focus on true colors, underlining them, and to use different usual visuals and graphic organizers as well, and I've shared PowerPoint in the assignment section as well.
It’s really amazing, the correlation between the sync and async classes are really great. So if anyone misses any point anywhere at the asynch or synch, everything is very very nicely correlated. I really, it’s really hard to believe that this is the first time you are doing because it is so nicely synched.
