Gateway was featured in a research report commissioned by UNESCO, New Delhi and prepared by a team of researchers at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The team from TISS asked Gateway to share a case study regarding the use of technology or assistive devices in schools. Ms. Khadija Rangwala shared about the use of computer readers with the IGCSE batch from ast year, how it not only supported them as accommodation in an exam, but also acts as a means to access information throughout their lives.
GSOM Team at National Workshop – ‘Learning Differently’
The Goa College of Home Science in partnership with the Directorate of Higher Education organised a two-day National Workshop titled ‘Learning Differently ’, in the first week of March. Dr. Radhika Misquitta, Ms. Manika Khanna, Ms. Rudri Joshi and Ms. Pooja Thakkar facilitated sessions on understanding inclusion, social and emotional development and learning difficulties, growth mindset, support in a UDL classroom, learning difficulties in Mathematics and Language (including speech and listening). In true Gateway spirit, the sessions were interactive ones which included a lot of sharing, group work, online games and quizzes. This workshop was featured in Goa’s “Gomantak times” .

Bridging the Gap: Towards Inclusion in Education
Gateway was featured in the report “ Bridging the Gap: Towards Inclusion in Education” as one of the schools with best practices!
Gateway will be featured in a documentary on best practices around the world! Two young French filmmakers, Bérénice and Adrien, who heard of us being an Ashoka Changemaker school, spent two days at Gateway, interviewing parents and teachers, interacting with the students, and observing classes. Through their documentary “School Trotters” – a 10 months journey in 10 countries of the world to relay alternative ways of learning – they hope to inspire and spark innovative educational practices in France.
